The Scientist is an aged scientist working in Antarctica, referred to by the residents of Stormalong as The Bottom of the World. He speaks in a slightly shaky manner and seems slightly unstable (mentally and physically), but is actually a very decent guy, offering Flapjack and K'nuckles warm clothes for their climb up the mountain in search of K'nuckles' rear end.
K'nuckles thinks he's a con-man so he and Flapjack start climbing up the mountain while he's fetching them a pair of warm coats.
When they land at the bottom of the mountain frozen in a block of ice in the end, he lectures them. "I told you it was chilly!"
