However, when Flapjack put one of Sally's shells to his ear, the hearts turned out to be a nest of blood-gnats from Blood Island.
At the end of the episode, Sally leaves Stormalong Harbor while her and Flapjack wave goodbye exclaiming that they don't love each other.
In the Return of Sally Syrup, Sally is stuck in Stormalong Harbor due to the flying machine breaking down. Flapjack decides to show her how much fun Stormalong can be despite her complaining. Sally makes fun of many of the things Flapjack finds 'adventurous', and tries to show him her way of fun. ( example- writing "hey dummy" inside of a candy wrapper and encouraging Flapjack to write "you smell", which gets the two of them along with the Candy Barrel in trouble with ravenous pirates.) at the end when The Professor fixes the flying machine, Sally exclaims that she was having a lot of fun, which surprises Flapjack. They have a somewhat heartfelt goodbye when she leaves, never to be seen again.
