—Michard to Flapjack & K'nuckles after they betrayed him (and Richard). |
Michard & Richard are two former old adventurers that were, and are good friends.
Background[]
Early Life[]
Like Flapjack & K'nuckles, Michard & Richard were best friends who sailed out on adventures with their shark, Chompie.
One day on a deserted island, the pair found a chest property of Candied Island and a key in the sand, with Michard having found the chest and Richard, the key. Despite their friendship, the two refused to work together to open the chest. Michard leaves with the chest and insists to Richard that he should take a nap. However, Richard knew of Michard's deceit, and refused, both arming themselves with a sword in case either of which attempted to steal their found items.
The two continued to bicker, with Richard demanding the chest and Michard the key. Too intangled fighting over who should have which, they end up getting trapped in quicksand. Undeterred, they keep their feud going for 50 years without sleep, growing old and winkly.
Present[]
They were eventually saved from the quicksand with the arrival of Flapjack & K'nuckles, who overheard their pleas for help. Even after being saved, both Michard and Richard refused to put aside their pettiness to open the chest.
Flapjack & K'nuckles fake ending their friendship to get closer with the pair so that they could open the chest for themselves. Their plan works, tricking the duo and escaping the island on a boat with the chest and the key. However, both Flap & Cap' too fall into the same greedy desire to open the chest for themselves, scrabbling over who should have what all night until they wash ashore.
After waking up, they make amends and finally open the chest only to realize that their troubles had been all for a mirror, which showed the reflection of both Michard and Richard, the two accidently mistaking them for themselves. It turns out that Michard and Richard had been standing behind them the whole time, upset that they were betrayed by the ones that they think they thought that they were thinking they could trust.
Finally, they put an end to their senseless bickering and embrace each other before walking off in the distance, venturing to see if Chompie was still in a cave they last saw them in.
Appearence[]
Michard in his youth had brown, long hair and a large nose, with the same clothing as K'nuckles.
Richard is his youth had a lighter shade brown coloured and medium hair, also dawning the same sailor clothing as Flapjack.
In their old ages, both appear to be extremely shriveled and winkled, having lost a lot of their hair and clothing and only having undergarments to cover them. They also appear to be a lot more flabby yet severely malnorished as well.
Personality[]
Before they made amends with each other, both seemed very argumentive and childish, as well as greedy, petty and selfish, which is made clear when neither wanted to share and open what they had found, which caused them to lose 50 years of their lives, and when Richard says he "always wanted to throw Michard a surprise funeral" while Michard says he wouldn't even go to his. After patching things up, both became caring of each other again.
It's likely that Michard and Richard shared similar personalities to Flapjack & K'nuckles in their youth.
