Maple Syrup is a sweet, rich condiment produced most commonly from the sap of maple trees, though Stormalong seems to acquire its supply from Maple Syrup Island. While intended to be consumed alongside other foods, such as flapjacks, K'nuckles drinks entire bottles of the stuff as a beverage. Likewise, his consumption of it causes him to become momentarily shaky, no doubt due to a sugar rush.

The syrup, in most cases appears to be a G-Rated stand-in for alcoholic beverages, more specifically rum, given the series' nautical setting. Only a handful of instances have syrup featured the way syrup is actually consumed in real life.
