Arthritis, though never addressed as a disease or condition in the show, is obviously common around Stormalong Harbor. Many characters have been shown to possess it, including Doctor Barber, the Westman, the Little old lady, the Cleaning Crew, Ben Boozle, even Captain Ridiculous. Unlike real-world arthritis, which causes pain in the bones, joints, and ligaments of various body parts, Stormalong Arthritis actually causes nasty deformities on its victims. By far, it is Doctor Barber who has the most severe case of this.
